Repower was cancelled, dm that set it up never talked to either driver. Other driver needs empty for emergency at home. Load only had 100 miles left on it with 6 drops......hmmmm no thanks. So back to square one.
TRKSHNY, my prayers are with you, I lost my birth parents at a young age only a year apart, it is something that never settles in your heart. Hope your nieces and yourself grieve with grace!!

Hey folks, I have a question. I already have my CDL along with over 20 years experience, however the last 6 years I have not been driving. What would the training time table be for me at Stevens---Thanks in advance
-
You would need to go through school as you have been off the road for longer than 2 years. So 3 weeks school, 8 weeks training. Hope that helps.
-
So sorry trkrshoney, definately praying for you and yours !!
After not driving for so long you would have to go through the school just as if you didnt have a CDL, you just wouldnt be going to DPS and taking the tests, then all the regular training, 5 weeks OTR with trainer and then 4 weeks with another student teaming, then solo. -
Flight, went thru something very similar with bonnie. To you and me back on the truck means arrived in New Jersey and are physically on the truck. To Bonnie and stevens, on the truck means, truck is mechanically ready, and you are assigned to the truck, which happened before you flew to jersey. It is the date in the computer. Not Jan when you actually got in your truck and were ready for dispatch. Sucks I know.

Yeah it does suck but whatever at this point. Thanks for the advice tho.
In other news...got to Rawlins, WY tonight. Was gonna shoot for Laramie, but they got wind warnings up from Walcott to Laramie...and with only 18,000lbs in the box, I didn't want to chance it. The upside is that I finally got the leak in my cab airbag fixed at the TA here. Looks like I wasn't the only one who didn't want to chance it. This place is packed. Trucks are parked wherever the think they can fit!! -
are the tractors stevens run auto or manual. looked like the kw on the alliance website was auto.

Woke up to a qualcomm message this morning. "Call me. Thanks. John." I give him a call and just what I thought...weather shutdown due to high winds. According to NOAA, winds are gusting to around 70mph near Elk Mtn. Suits me just fine, but the load is going to be late. The winds are supposed to ease up later this afternoon, so hopefully I can get out of here then.

Hey all.
Denali, too bad on that. I think you would have made a great addition to the fleet! Stevens' loss and keep in touch.
Sorry to hear about your sis, trkrshoney, my prayers and thoughts.
Flight, I think you've been cursed. Find out who it was and douse them with sea water while chanting, "Booga, booga."
Sitting just east of El Paso with a load going to Pheonix Monday night. Hit the yard and ended up having to swap trucks. Don't know why, guess the grad fleet is hurting for them. Heard plenty of new drivers whining about waiting to get one. Now have a brand new 700. Like it, but it is a bit smaller in the bunk and I notice that loss of space. Otherwise it's very nice. Oh, and the MPG sucks for now, should improve after the break-in period.
Has the new 200 QC, and it is a major improvement.
All for now, have to get some winks and drive this load hard tonight.
l8rDenaliDad Thanks this.
