    First off, a little history:

I have 6 years experience driving a truck. Never been an O/O. About six months ago I started hauling frac sand in Texas. LOVED IT! Finally think I found my niche in the trucking industry. Did a WHOLE LOT of research on the frac industry as a whole and decided to strike out on my own and perhaps build a company. I left my job as a company driver, and took another driver with me, began the purchasing process on two trucks.

    Now the problem:

The finance company decided that because pneumatic sand trailers were so inflated on price, they would not finance me unless I bought new. So I tried. And found out that I would not be able to take delivery on the trailers till July. Not knowing what else to do, I put the money down on two trailers, and decided to look into leasing trailers until mine were made. HOWEVER, there are none to be had.

So what I have here are two trucks that I am making payments on with blowers, and no trailers to haul sand.

Can someone point me in the right direction? And please don't say things like "Well, that was dumb" or " You should just default on the loan". Failure is not and option. Not at this point. I just need some CONSTRUCTIVE advice. Someone to point me in the right direction.

    HELP!!

Haul something else to cover your bills while you wait for your trailers. Tough time of year, though.

Get online and do a goofle search for Beal trls.
They make them and various units around I believe. Look for auction websites.
Google trl. Leasing for that type.
    See what it brings you.

Do a power only program with someone like JB Hunt. Will make a profit (not much) but will fill in gap till you get trailer.

Glad you found financing on new trailers. Those are even over priced.

The other option is to find contacts up North. Guys are starting to fail and units are coming available. Maybe able to rent or get used in range you can get financed. With Haliburton pulling the rug out from under some good sized contracts it is really messing with this market.

But even a blind man could see it was a huge bubble up north. Hope this doesn't cause issues for you in TX. But that market seemed to be more stable.

I would start on truckpaper web site. Start calling the folks who have trailers for sale, and ask if they would do a short term lease. Make sure YOU make an offer even if they say no. Cash talks...

Wild bill is right, its slowing down alot up here because of low gas prices. Alot of large energy companies that planned to drill a ton of wells have reduced that number down to a quarter of the amount that was planned.

Expand your search, both for trailers and "power only" companies.
