Can anyone, L.B. or someone else, pass on any information about Millis regional. I see on their Facebook page they're looking for regional drivers in certain areas.

    From indeed.com.

Millis is hiring for REGIONAL RUNS in the following areas:
    • Texas Regional -Make Runs from Waco to Fort Worth and Deliveries out of Fort Worth to a 200 mile radius.
    • Trenton, Ohio: Cincinnati to Chicago
    • Georgia Regional: Albany and Atlanta
On our regional runs, you'll stay within a 4-5 state area and enjoy more home time!

What effect does that have verses OTR besides the less pay, better/worse equipment ect.

Hey, I just saw this, I'll answer any questions you have. I get allot of them so fire away.

I run out of Albany, live in Forsyth, GA, and deliver in GA, FL, SC, NC, AL, MS. They tend to keep you running in loops, always heading back to your base of operations. On regional you will hual allot of beer which is why you are in a smaller, lighter truck, but then again you get to be home weekends so its a trade off.

The pay scale is the same as OTR and I get between 1800 (on a slow week) and 2500 miles. (hit over 3000 miles 3 weeks ago and last 2 weeks have been 2500 miles) We do get less miles then is possible with OTR but hometime is more important to me, so I am diggin regional.

We run different on regional. I am running like a dog monday thru friday, usually shutting down with less than 20 mins left on my 11/14 at the end of the day. If you get shorter runs you can do 3 loads a day easy and my max run is just over 500 miles.

Anything I didn't cover, just ask.

    ricrey99 and rubberducky68 Thank this.

LB i have a question about the trucks. you said they are smaller. does this mean they do not have a bed and what not? if that is the case where do you sleep? i would not mind doing regional or dedicated so i could see my wife on the weekends not that she would be available since she is a state trooper but it would be nice anyway.
