Have any of you heard or know of anyone failing the stress test because of the way they were lifting the 60lbs?

Yeah they check your blood pressure after the lift and if it's too high you fail. So not so much the lift itself being the problem but the heart rate and bp after the lift is the kicker.

I know for me, when I knew I was headed to SNI, I actually practiced in my basement. Got some milkcrates and filled them with books.

My issue, in addition to weight and being years out of shape, was controlling my breathing. Lifting and moving the weight was not a problem...but I found that concentrating on my breathing helped a great deal, and I got through it.

Keep in mind....I'm 5'6 and 260. Naturally stocky (but not supposed to be THIS stocky!)

No, they check BP BEFORE you run the tests. After each test they check your heartrate. He may not have been breathing DURING the tests , soo his HR shot up past limits.

I actually lifted it 4 times cause I was told I could lift it from the corners. But when I grab it by opposite corners and turned it so my arms were even, she said "you cant turn it". Then the next attempt she said "your back's not straight". You fail sorry.

And that's another thing. She never checked my pressure after this excercise. Mind you I'm 5'10" 155 no beer gut and quit smoking a month ago. My blood pressure is excellent. I am 50 years old. So if it's not my age I am not sure what the real issue was.
