No cause your snottiness and response PROVE you don't have a clue. And you are so wrong because even when it doesn't affect me or my hubby I am on here championing others and their RIGHT to be treated fairly. Look back through the thread and you will see. OR just keep yapping out your arse....your prerogative. You know just because you keep repeating a lie doesn't make it true BUT hey nice try.

I'm not a cheerleader for J.B.S. I'm simply their ONLY SELF PROCLAIMED SUPERTRUCKER!!! and I'm happy!
But I've worked for 10 different companies, most in the 1st couple years of holding my CDL. I've also understood what it takes to move from rookie to unprofessional supertrucker to what I am now, a PROFESSIONAL SUPERTRUCKER LOL!
I would tell you this, DON'T EVER ALLOW A TRUCKING COMPANY TO PLACE YOU UNDER CONTRACT FOR ANY REASON!
Obama's F'N up this country so take advantage of it while you still can. Go to your local unemployment office and explain to them you would like to obtain your CDL. There are programs that will pay it in full or worst case you simply get a government loan for it.
DON'T GET YOURSELF TRAPPED BY SIGNING A CONTRACT. THERE ARE TOO MANY UNSEEN CHARGES AND UNSEEN INTEREST THAT MAY BE HIDDEN IN A TRUCKING CONTACT WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR SITUATION.
but, back to your original comment, NOT A CHEERLEADER, BUT I'M HAPPY HERE AT J.B.S. AND GET MILES, MAKE MONEY, AND AM HOME EVERY 2 WEEKS OR LESS ONTIME EVERYTIME EXCEPT FOR 1 TIME IN 6 MONTHS THEN IT WAS ONLY 4 HOURS LATE LOL!
any trucking company is only as good as you are my friend. Work hard, learn all you can and be respectful and honest no matter how anyone else treats you and you should be fine no matter where you go.Florida Girl Thanks this. -
All I have to say is WOW! My brain hurts after reading the last 10 pages.

Sorry man. Can't be silent about things that bother me here. And the incompetence from the office people in colorado.
DocRox Thanks this. -
Ok, I am going to make several points here but first I do not meet the criteria for the Sleep Test, My best friend who is not longer with JBS Did.
But Just for the record There is no Written Policy I asked for a copy last monday when I was in Greeley.
To the Brain dead moron who thinks JBS will just go away in 12 months you are seriously mistaken, JBS is not going anywhere even if they lose 200 drivers to sleep apnea BS.....
Now Let me make sure everyone is very clear on several things Colorado is a AT WILL State, Meaning you do not have to give a reason to leave, nor does an employer have to give a reason for termination...
JBS Carriers Has elected to Have Randy as the Director Of Safety, Regardless of if we like it or not Accept it or go get another #### job....
JBS Carriers has and will continue to support The Sleep Testing as it is written in the FMCSA Regulations falling under Respiratory Dysfunction.
The Method of Determination was written in 2007 (check) my Previous Post in regards to this as I posted all the links to this.
But what Gets me the most is Any Driver who is recommended for sleep testing is FIRST
Only GIVEN a 6 Months DOT Card... Why in the HELL would you wait until the 6 month.
You get your Insurance on the 90th DAY of Employment.....
Ok You do not want to take the TEST you had six months to make money and find another JOB......
IF you waited until the 6 month to do your test regardless of if it is a REGULATION or not.. WHICH people I hope like crazy you all get it right the Green and white book is not a book of LAWS but Regulations.... If you do not like the policy (even though it is not written) then please go look elsewhere.
According to the ATA, OOIDA, The Truck Load Carriers association, DOT, The National Center for Sleep Disorders 98% of the people who test with a number greater than 3 (which is on a scale of 0-150) and obtain a CPAP machine are perfectly fine to drive.... NOW this was in the 2007 study that was done on Sleep Apnea, here is what gets me about the whole thing NO one agrees on what "number" to use to determine who should and who should not have to take the test. But 98% of those who were tested and got the machine (which insurance covers most of the cost) Average cost of sleep Test 2700.00 Your Out of Pocket MAX with JBS Insurance 600.00, CPAP Mask (insurance covers the Machine) 200.00 like buying a pair of work boots, except for you flip flop wearing few...
So with that if you do not want to do what the company is requiring you to do go elsewhere, for those who are willing to do what they are asking and your complaint is like mine the fact that Randy and Linda Have not PUT a Policy in Writing, And the Fact that they DO NOT PAY a driver who has already been hired to take further testing. Which is complete BS, If this is such an issue then JBS should take the same stance on the Sleep Apnea that they do with High Blood Pressure, If you have High BP then you go home from Orientation Get your DR to get you the MEDS you come back you go to work. If a Person meets the unwritten Criteria for Sleep Apnea testing you send them home they get the testing and a cpap machine they come back go to work.
I think it is completely wrong to ask any employee to do further testing and not pay them after they have been hired...
OK to the Snitch who runs right to Linda and tells here everything that is written on here RUN now and tell her to read this for herself... To bad you do not have the testicular fortitude to to come out and confront me yourself and you hide behind her... Pretty Sad considering Everyone knows That Doc Holiday is Mark Sawyer truck 13404. Phone 757-812-4850 I do not hide and I do not tell it like I see it that is just how it is like it or not I am who I am...
Now I am going to go eat my Spinach and hopefully I will wake up a Billy Big rigger (oh the PUN was completely intended)
robz1017, DocRox, thecleaninglady and 1 other person Thank this. -
SELF PROCLAIMED SUPERTRUCKER IS MAKING PREPARATIONS TO START SELF PROCLAIMED "ELITE" SUPERTRUCKING TRUCKING COMPANY!

Florida Girl Thanks this. -
Well doc, yea I waited till I absolutely had too. As you know I have asked for your help to get off of dumpy fleet 19. That took place sometime near the beginning part of october. So yea I had the jbs insurance but couldn't afford to take time off. I appreciate your help that you have gave me. But as usual the other day I called the president number you gave me. And all I got was a phone call from the useless wonder randy K, and that turned out to be a huge waste of time. And how can you say if jbs will be around or not? There's safety score is going into the dumper, they are offering a 5K sign on. That equals desperation, and they will only be able to get students and the drivers that don't mind being boned by the company. As the experienced and smarter drivers will be gone.
And to jb$ rocks, if you think sitting around during the bad to get to the good hell man you don't have any idea what real trucking is. Sitting around waiting and waiting is for chumps. And if you enjoy doing so more power to you. You all have fun working reefers and being taken advantage off. I'm done with jbs and there bull@hit games.Last edited by a moderator: Jan 20, 2012

Voted with my feet, Jbs is not going to get their ducks in a row soon .
Randy works hard to disqualify drivers for the safety bonus ...I would love to know what % of Jbs drivers receive it ?
I went to Knight , got 11k miles last month, Pay Raise
, more pay for short hauls, was home for xmas , took 6 days off .
80% true drop and hook , detention after 2 hrs, Day Pay, Dm has 35 drivers , major national accounts. Loving it !
Jbs looked good on paper but mistako mucho to work for.tankerman1974 Thanks this. -
I guess if you want to take it like that, more power to you. Its not meant to be like that.
On a lighter note. Tell him to prepare for a uncomfortable test. Their going to shave parts of his legs for the electrobes ( or anywhere with body hair). There's roughly 20 total. Legs, chest arms, head and face. They mash these things on with a very disquisting paste. Generally if the tester wakes you up during a test and puts you on a mask it's usually a sign of heavy sleep ap. Most cases it takes a few days to be determined. My preliminary results came back the next afternoon and I was cleared without full review due to having a 96 % sleep efficiency during test. The test just makes you uncomfortable so its wise to wake up extremely early the day of test and pop a Tylenol p.m. or something to make sure you fall asleep before you head into the lab. The test makes alot if sense after the fact, most people think cus they don't snore that their fine. Its usually the complete opposite. As I mentioned a few pages back, it was a serious kick in reality to change my lifestyle. Basically I've been trying to say, yes I understand what your saying about JBS not knowing their own made up policies, or misinterpret their own everytime you look for answer. Just take it all with a smile and get it out of the way. I understand many of us can't afford to be put down 2 weeks for it. But at the same time we all can't afford to lose our medical card all together. That's another point I was trying to make when I said its a industry that will always be against the driver.tankerman1974 and IofTEXAS Thank this.
