You need to go and get it looked at Back in 1997 I had the same symptons and 1 DR said I had hemmorads and a prostrate infection so for about 2 months I listened to this Dr, finally the pain got so bad that the only way that I could get any relief was to sit in a tub of hot water when at home . any way went to a colo rectual DR and he did some looking and test come to find out I had a rectual poylp that had turn cancerous. Was lucky and when they did surgery the cancer was still enclosed and had not spread outside the rectumn but lost rectumn and a life changing ordeal So for goodness sakes GO GET IT CHECKED!!!!! Good luck '

Chances are it's just from a hard seat ..Right? If your a Co. driver about all you can do is get a cushion. I slipped and fell getting out of my truck years ago and landed on the edge of the aluminum step and actully split the crack LONGER!:biggrin_2551: A bruisedtailbone is not fun to sit on or walk with.
I stopped at a Wally world and picked up a kitchen chair seat cushion for about $10, Yea-boy! whatta diff!

Tailbone injuries suck. Mine acts up from an injury years ago usually once every 3 months. It's usually a rough week.

To the OP, I know they make some gel cushions that are marketed towards trucks. I can't remember the name of them or anything though. Might want to check it out.

In addition to the seat suggestions I have 3 words for you:

    1. Squats
    2. Lunges
    3. Stretching

It will make a world of difference.

Oh the places this thread could go....

So is it just while driving or if you're sitting anywhere for an hour or two?
If it's just driving it could mean you need another seat or a cushion. If it happens while sitting anywhere, then it could be hemorrhoids.

when i first started driving my wallet use to set my cheeks on fire, but i guess they've gotten tougher, because it doesn't bother me so much anymore.
