The New FFE Driver Academey

in my 6 months i have not had an inspection and with my old truck i got actually pulled in to a scale(prepass scale that is) about once a week and with my new truck i have only gotten redlighted 1 time in 2 months. our score isn't to bad. look up cr england. our drivers look like troopers compaired to them.

 

Heading out tomorrow afternoon for my 6 weeks with a trainer. I am stoked to be finished with classes. Thanks Trigger and Play maker for all of the great advice and it was great meeting you guys at the Academy. Hope to see you on the road!

@Spat Not disagreeing with you in terms of needing seat time as a company driver first, but I'm all for a good challenge. Just like any business, it's about taking a risk.

Enough of my BS, I guess what I'm getting at is, is it possible someone could do a successful lease-purchase after 6 months as a company driver? What type of fixed expenses would a lease-purchase driver be looking at on a weekly basis through FFE?

 

Like everyone says, I think a lot of people go wrong when they don't read the lease or have a lawyer/attorney look over it before signing it, so some good advice Playmaker.

How much goes into the maintenance account per mile and not sure if it was already explained, but I'm assuming FFE has a fuel surcharge program like everyone else, right?

 

That depends on the age/milage of the truck.

 

Morning Spat.....when you go to the academy do they try to get you to go DTO or do they memtion it alot during your time there.

 

There is no pressere to do anything, the mostly focus on safety,driving, company policy, and life on the road.
