He must've turned some serious R's to drop a valve, what was it an older mechanical motor?

On a side note: I would never drive a truck that's an automatic, and if a place told me I "could only start in an auto as a new hire" there would be no problem because I wouldn't be working there...No offense to you Bayou.

Yes Prime has a flatbed division. Ive been running in it since September, got my own truck in October. I have a thread in the Prime section documenting my journey.

It's not me trying to be a smart ### or too good to drive an automatic, I just hate those things and I know alot of other drivers do too. I'm used to driving local and doing ALOT of off road driving and running the hills around here, maybe as an OTR truck an auto wouldn't be too bad but for what I'm used to they aren't worth a darn.

Try TMC. if you get on you will get some great training. they run a 13 speed trans. I work there. been in Texas may be a great place to live. look to be in orientation for 3 weeks and with a trainer up to 5 weeks.

TY Cowboy! I hear their training terminal and accomodations are pretty nice. I live closer to I-20/Abilene, TX than I do I-35 and I think that seems to be the biggest issue for several comnpanies.

I must say... that I have been watching the main Hwy through town and I do see a lot of flatbedders coming through and I have gotten a few company names off of the doors.
