I was wondering if anyone has gone to Tennessee truck driving school or to drive train. here is links to both the sites http://tennesseetruckdrivingschool.com/ttds/
http://www.drive-train.org/
drive train is closer to me but the class is 995$ more and the classes are a week shorter then tennessee truck driving school. i got a list of questions for both and have already spoke with tennessee truck driving school. atm i dont have a phone near me just the computer so i fig i would speak with the truckers here 1st.
what are your impressions of the 2 websites? If you where to pick one which would it be? Has anyone attended or know of someone who has attended either? whats there status now? sorry for my bad use of capitals my shift key is screwed up.

Try here, closer to home, less money, more seat time : http://www.ttcmemphis.edu/fulltime-programs/truck-driving or http://www.ttcjackson.edu/fulltime-programs/truck-driving the second state school is right in your own home town. All of the TN Technology Centers truck driving programs are above average.
and as a TN resident, just a few hundred dollars......even cheaper if you never used the lottery grant, I think you would automatically qualify.TractorGator Thanks this. -
ahh thank you. another school to look into. I actually haven't been in TN to long and just got the internet. Thanks for info!

Dumb question that I should probably just call and get answered directly, but do you know if the TTC CDL programs take out of state residents? I couldn't find any information on their website. I'm looking to eventually move back to the Nashville area anyway (I lived in various parts of Middle Tennessee from August 2005 to April 2011), so I wanted to consider them, but I didn't know if they would even look at me as I probably don't meet residency requirements (at least for an in-state rate).

This might help, the guys in Nashville are great!
Requirements for Resident Classification: Individuals having a domicile in Tennessee are classified as "in-state" and individuals with a domicile outside of Tennessee are classified as "out-of-state." To determine whether a student is domiciled in Tennessee all relevant information is considered by the institution. The student must provide supportive documentation to substantiate a domicile claim. Tennessee is the only state without a durational residency requirement, so that no set time period is determinative in establishing residence.
Unemancipated individuals assume the domicile of their parents, or of their guardian or legal custodian provided that the guardianship was not created primarily for the purposes of conferring in-state residency status for tuition purposes. Unemancipated students of divorced parents shall be classified "in-state" when one parent, regardless of custodial status, is domiciled in Tennessee. If the parent of an unemancipated, currently enrolled student removes his/her domicile from Tennessee, the student may continue to pay in-state tuition as long as he or she is continuously enrolled at a public higher education institution.
