I read that the accerts have alot of blowby. Could anyone tell me what good/ acceptable/ bad numbers would be for blowby and hp?

with a tandem axle that truck should be putting about 430hp to the ground.. as for blowby anything over 800-900 cfm is getting high.. the actual calculation is HP x 2 + 200 for the max blowby rating..

I got the dyno numbers. They are calling it good but it seems low hp to me.

Its putting 340 to the ground which is like what 72% of rated.

He did say this is an ex marten trk and there is some settings they could change to get more from it.

The blowby is not in the numbers you gave he said its +3. Said they allow +1 for every 100k mi and this is 580k mi. So its half of what would be allowable.

id say your 80 to 100 hp down not sure on the blowby but the hp is way low for a 475

About 75. It calculates out to about 400 at the flywheel. I am tempted to have them set the overhead and change the fuel filter and run it again. It has fleetgard filters which i hear are a big no no on the acert. And i have bought a few fleet trucks and its my opinion none of the fleets EVER adjust the overhead. My last truck was so bad im surprised it ran at all. Also i thought i felt a boost leak from a boot when i looked at it but it was so cold out my hands went numb every time i started looking for it.

Before it goes on the dyno all of that should have been checked unless it just an engine condition dyno.. .Boost/exhaust leaks and valve set is critical..i only recommend cat filters on them ( they flow soooo much better).. primary fuel filter bases can also cause fuel restriction depending on the model of it..

uprateing might be a fix (approx $ 500 plus labor) but if you have a lazy 475 you will have a lazy 550.

should to go through all the low power checks then dyno it.. if they #s are low and they are PAR certified they can adjust the FLS and FTS to give it more fuel rate..Heavy haul program and resistors may help as well

Yes it was just an engine condition check dyno.

Ibwouldnt bother with hp upgrades untill its all in proper tune. Oh well, i will get it figured out

Fleetgaurd filters are not a no no on an Acert as long as you run the right one. They have much higher flow rates available than what Cat has. the info is out there you just have to look.
OP, what RPM was the peak HP at ?

I got your PM, but ended up deleting it without answering it. My Inbox was full and I was trying to make room to be able to answer your question when I deleted it without responding. I'm sorry

The dyno numbers are low. The CAT dealer shouldn't have told you that it was Okay at 340 hp. A 475 should be able to put a minimum of 380 hp to the rollers in a power dyno run. The problem is they should have done a PAR dyno run afterwards to measure the actual fuel being consumed by the engine verses the Hp being produced for a accurate Hp evaluation of the power output. A simple power run gives the dyno operator an idea that he has a problem to look at or not
