I say Prime goes back to 60k training miles.
Then there will be very little argument.venne Thanks this. -
40k or 60k doesn't make any difference when you have a trainer that is more interested in their paycheck then the training he or she is giving to their student.
And from what I have seen and heard with most of the trainers we have here is piss poor.
What they need to do is a better training program for their trainers and occasionally throw the trainers a mole that could evaluate them, without them knowing that they are being evaluated.
If the trainers were doing their job of training instead of playing video games or checking how much money they made off the trainee this week, 40k would be efficient miles for anyone.venne Thanks this. -
Yes big cheese that is my whole point.my trainer has done an ok job to this point but it's now to the point where there is no training being done and for him it's all about the money and has nothing to do with me as long as he's making what he is. But I can also say the only training i feel like I've gotten from him is how to use the quailcom other than that hes always shut the curtain played on his computer and slept.at first the only time I would see him is whenever I would have to back into a spot he wanted to make sure I knew what I was doing after that I don't see him until he has to use the bathroom and I feel like hes just holding me back for the $$$ he's making off of me yes I have a lot to learn and in this field of work that never stops and I'm not the type to be mr knw it all but I do feel like Ive gotten all the training I'm going to get from him the rest comes in time doing the job and I knw I'm ready but of course I can't go anywhere until he says and he flat out said he's keeping me because he needs the money I'm glad he is so confident in my abilities to do the job but if he only cares about the money he needs to go team and the reason he doesn't is because he gets so much just holding on to me I get my 600 while he gets his 6000 Ian's I wish they had something set up where they talk to the trainee and the trainer for evaluation each week

are BLEEDING ! ! ! ! what did the . do to you florida guy? it's a . period. My brain is fried just figuring out which sentence was which.
I do have to agree with the trend of posts here that there are quite a few very bad instructors (moose's) and some very good instructors.
I would encourage everyone in training to first understand exactly what you are supposed to be learning in PSD and TnT. Could be one of Prime's weaknesses is the lack of a syllibus or simple list of tasks you should be learning. I would look to U2exit and that banned guy (IP) to help us develop a task list for each phase. If you as a trainee do not know what right looks like, how are you gonna identify an instructor doing wrong and actually have a case with the FM and others when you go to them?
If you are having a problem, you as a trainee should have the FM's phone number. Find time to call when the trainer is not around, present your issues without losing your head, and ask for help. If that doesn't work, Call Don Lacy or Stan Auman. Here's why.... Those guys do not like to hear the horror stories that people tell about trainers (the werner story) and will work to keep those stories being told about Prime. Most of us on here feel the same way, otherwise why would we spend the time on here helping each other out?
Last but not least, NEWBIES PAY ATTENTION ! ! ! ! SEARCH AND READ ! ! ! SEARCH AND READ ! ! ! yes, search the threads and read them. Alot of questions can be answered by searching. If you don't find it, then post.Carabello720 and McBjork Thank this. -
Howdy All,
I haven't posted in couple months or so,
Update: I'm Waiting for my glasses (eye glasses) to get delivered est is next week) and than going to get DOT Physical exam done, and straight from there going to DMV to get a permit, and then around the 9th i should know whether or not my misdemeanor will be sealed/expunged so then i'll submit my application, Hopefully to leave around the 12th of February (Hopefully).
I've been talking with a trainer Mark Tadlock he's been helping me get on the path to Prime with in regards of Pre-trip/post inspection, Navigation etc etc...
I'm getting excited and nervous because I hope i get my misdemeanor sealed/expunged, and i hope i get to Prime, or it's another company

While I understand what Florida is saying I can't agree. I know that after a while it seems like you are not learning anything, but it comes down to experience. The more experience you gain while in training the better off you are, and miles count towards experience.
About trainer's, there are some good ones and some bad ones, and some medicore ones. I think Prime fails in this department, I have yet to have a talk with my FM, past or current where I was asked to rate the trainer, and there should be someone in charge of the trainers other than the FM.
Just my 2 cents, ok falling of my soapbox now. -
I posted this question on another thread but I seen that there was at least one leaser on here. What is your opinion on a couple leasing? We figure it would be better then me being in an apartment and paying money out when we could be on the truck together and making money with no living expenses. He is pretty set on leasing and I am not convinced.
