I am thinking about having a 388 Pete glider built. I am looking for thoughts and suggestions as to where is a great place to have it put together. Any ideas? Suggestions? Things not to do?
I was told it will be September before I could get Peterbilt to build it so I have some time to figure all this out.
Anyone have a 6NZ they want to sell?
Mr. Haney I would love to get your thoughts on the matter.
I will also be in need of your expertise and services when the time comes.
Thanks!

Fitzgerald's has a good reputation

i still don't understand how you can get away with installing a pre-emmissions engine into a 2012 truck?
-
Beats me but thats the only way I'll buy a new truck that I'm going to drive.
Actually I do understand the emission regs go with the year of the engine not the year of the truck. I am still surprised they have not closed that loophole. I am sure they will soon enough. -
I know a guy that has 30+ trucks all shaker flat tops pulling buckets and most of them are gliders saves at least 30,000 per unit

Shhhhhhhhhh!!!!! Don't give the EPA windowlickers any ideas.
Better get your order in for a glider, last I heard was over a year waiting list. -
I talked to Hunters the other day they said september. He also said Peterbilt recently upped production on gliders.
I wish I could make up my mind. My truck will be paid off in a year. I like the idea of not making payments every month. I can buy alot of hotel rooms for the amount of a truck payment. I am still rideing the fence as to buying a new truck. A sleeper sure would be nice at times. I dont know.... I plan on going to visit Hunters tomorrow I may put money down to get in line. A new truck with 8-900 hp sounds like fun to me. Its only money!! -
Don't forget to order the Gold Plated Fifth Wheel option- you've GOT to get one !
-
Right!! That's what we like to hear. The rest of us can live it through your posts. Go with one of those twin turbo setups on a 6NZ better yet hang 3 turbos on it!! haha, wish I could do something like this, except for the 2 or 3 turbo extreme, but it won't ever be practical for me. I always figured a "streetable" 750/800 hp would be more than enough if I ever do.

Fitzgeralds only advertises Freightliner trucks though. They used to advertise Pete's but they don't anymore.
Does Kenworth offer gliders?
