I'd like to say thanks to the more seasoned driver that helped me back into a parking space, at the TA in Jacksonville, Fl. It's people like him that make trucking a nice profession.
thanks

My second trip out solo as a newbie I pulled into a TA late and found only 2 parking spaces left. I tried to set up for the first one but set up wrong I pulled out and went around to try again. By the time I got back around another driver was already backing in it. An "old pro" across saw me coming back and came out to my truck and asked if I pulled off because I set up wrong. Told him yeah didn't see making it in the way I was. He told me there was another spot at the end of the line. I said yeah saw it but looks hard to get in. He took me to the other spot and showed me all the way how to set up and how to get in. What they teach you in school won't always work for everything in the real world. It is nice to see some of the "pros" out there that still care and help out.

If i see a driver having a hard time i will offer to help.Usually they want the help but once in a while you get a rude remark.
Still,I make the offer.
It is the way trucking should be....we look out for each other.
Even some of us old guys have to get out and look from time to time..
