Guys,
I am an individual investor who owns trucks and trailers and have signed on with a trucking company. I am looking for drivers. My trucks will be leased on to a trucking company in TX. All of my trucks are late model Peterbilts.
Requirements are:
CDL for at least 3 years
Clean MVR (No more than 4 things in the past 3 years)
No violations for log book or out of service
No sand hauling-pneumatic experienced required, trucking company will train you.
You can send me an e-mail to: sandhaulertx@gmail.com or call 214-509-8821.
I will delete this thread once I've got the drivers or update it. I am looking for 3 honest hard working drivers.
Pay Rate: 20-25% of gross what the truck makes.

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

No offense, but 20%? Your numbers should start no less than 24% in my opinion, 24%-27% will attract the type of drivers you're looking for, I haven't heard of a company paying 20% in a long time, and if they are still paying that rate, the doors of their trucks are like those of the Macy's store in New York City, revolving............
trucker43 Thanks this. -
why such a low percentage
its the drivers who will be hauling the freaking sand for youtrucker43 Thanks this. -
I asked how much the truck makes because I've heard of detention pay being as low at $50 per hour in TX. Any truth to that?

Ok guys, for clarification. Just spoke to the personnel at the trucking company. You will get paid 20% the first two weeks. (considering the fact that you have no experience hauling frac sand in the oil fields) After that, it is 25% of what the truck makes.
The lower percentage in the beginning is the company's normal policy/practices. If I find someone with decent record, there is a possibility for going straight to 25% starting. All depends.
AC22, The trucking company is telling me the truck should make $6,000-$9,000 per week. Detention time is $65 per hourtrucker43 Thanks this. -
Where at in Texas? What kind of hours? I have 9 years oilfield/pipeline cdl experience, currently working, but always looking for a new opportunity. I also have a clean MVR.
