Does anyone remember these things? At Ohare Airport, Many, Many, Many, years ago, they would have these fiberglass little Igloos they called them, and sometimes they would be loaded from the side of the Truck with a forklift or come off a Rail car, and the dock was flush against the wall and you could drive off the dock right into the rail car and forklift the Igloo right into the warehouse. Do these things still exist? Acually they were the size of a hut, you could acually live in one of these things.

Today I was remembering back when my dad was running in Ohare Airport, and I would go with him and would see these Hut size Igloos they were called and were completely filled with cartons. LOL You know, You could acually live in one of these things.

Yeah man ups uses those things they load them in planes. My last job I was at I had a stop on my route that repaired them. They were clear you could see in them put packages in and close them up.

You are exactly right, they came off the planes, and sometimes had netting wrapped around them. UPS still uses these? Times have not changed.
-
They still use them in Philly area that's where that guy was I delivered to. Plus I delivered to the ups at Philly airport and saw them being towed around the Tarmac.

I dont really know what youre talking about. Dont think Ive ever seen them at any UPS ground or air hubs. But what do I know, Im just a lowly freight driver.

I think he's thinking of air freight containers, Harv. And most of the ones I'd ever seen were aluminum.
And you have to look higher than the front edge of the hood to see anything!Wargames Thanks this. -
I used to go to the UPS air hubs in Lousville and Columbus Ohio all the time (UPS not UPS Freight) and they have all kinds of loading and unloading containers and equipment, but Ive never seen anything quite like what is being described.

Me either, but he did say it was when he was with his dad. I'm guessing that was a year or two back...
Wargames Thanks this.
