    ditto on the security talk.
Repowering this load tonight in Pontoon Beach. Getting a load to N Platte. Maybe pass you on the way flight.
Look for the T2000 missing the right front corner.

Ditto on the security talk. Also have to get preapproval from the planners on where we take the trailer for home time. I laughed at that one as I had to find my own secure location. Now I will put that new policy to the test next week.

3 short runs in a row. Last one from mars in TN to mars in manteno IL. Drop the load and like at all the mars no empty. So as I planned bobtail up the road to the petro. Need to get a PM done anyway. Get a load assignment pick up in morris and it delivers to casper WY tuesday. My home time request is for wed. Took some forward planning to even get that load as Marten normally delivers to nabisco in casper. So something went right.

I think "well, heading East to get to trailer. Hope I deliver soon." Or something like that.

I've driven before and stopped in 2004. Now I'm wanting to return to the road and finding out that I will have to re certify in order to get a CDL job.
So i know a lot about the good and bad of working for bad companies.. HMM HMM WERNER. Excuse me had something in my throat. But when I got my first CDL I attended a CDL school. This time i am thinking going the Company sponsored route. I have 2 companies in mind so far ROELS and Stevens. It would be nice to hear from any Stevens employees or students in training currently to get an idea in if I should go to Stevens or Roels?

Thanks and hope to hear from anybody. I can sift thru the BS by the way having previous experience on the road so no need to sell me any golden gate keys.

You already made a thread...why post the exact same thing in here? That's called cross-posting and it is a no-no.

Anyways...what Dujo said. There is absolutely tons of info in this one thread alone, and you'll get the true scoop. Not some recruiters BS.

I will be done with school in 3 wks. Already have CDL here in MN. I was wondering what type of miles per week drivers are getting. We had a former student come in with this new T700 and he was very proud of it. I'm not crazy about being out 8 wks for training but I guess I have to do what I have to do. I have already talked with Stevens and know about the orientation for 4 days. Just wondering how hard is it and after the 4 days will I be out with a trainer and start my 8 wks? Any info would be very helpful. I have already been accepted by another company to start orientation with them 3 week of Feb.

Well, I'm getting unloaded (albeit slowly) here at Wal Mart. We had a 15 minute blizzard here last night. I couldn't see past my hood it was snowing so much! It dropped an inch in less than 5 minutes!!

Emu: I'll keep an eye out for you. I'm going to head back to the hook after I'm mty to get some breakfast. Hopefully I can get to Grand Island today. I need a cb shop and that's the closest one I know of.

picasso: scan through just the last 10 pages and your question will be answered more than a few times.

Some thoughts on the cargo theft. When we pull into a truck stop and call family or friends to come pick us up, even if it is just for a few hours, do not have them pull up to your truck. You just put a blue light special on your truck and cargo. The thief watching the truck stop knows your truck is unoccupied for at least a few hours. Have them meet you in the 4 wheeler parking lot and walk through the building to meet them.

Insurance say that 80% of all cargo thefts are driver envolved. Don't know what happened in FL, but from the information the driver went home for the night.

We can not stop a determined criminal but we can deter the oppurtunistic one.
