    What’s up with these guys? Went through 2 days of paper work and physical exams from 7am to 10pm. The 3rd day was given a road test . I told them I trained with a gear master and needed training on down shifting. I failed the test and was sent home. I don’t feel I was given a chance to adjust to their truck and received very little sleep. 14 hour rule means nothing to them. We had 10 in our class and 5 had prior experience. Will this reflect negatively on my DAC and can I expect the same treatment elsewhere. Thinking about going to Schneider now because they had also called me for orientation. I need your advice please.

    I never worked for them but from your experience with them, I'd say their not worth the time of day. As far as it showing up on your DAC, no. Its not like you quit while under a load.

    Were you hired? Were you being paid for orientation? Is there a check in the mail for your time? I don't think you were and I doubt there's a check heading your way so how can they put "something" on your DAC when you were not an employee?

    At the Cuba Alabama terminal I was told i would not be hired until after orientation but i was to be paid $300 for the first week. I am sure they will deduct their expenses and I do not believe i will receive any money at all, i have not contacted them yet on the matter. I hope they dont report that i failed the driving test because i was not really givin a chance.

    Has anyone ever heard of being tested the third day and can i expect the same at Schnieder? And what about the hours, we were up at 5am to catch a shuttle at 6am and got back at the hotel at 10:30pm with homework to complete. Bedtime after food, homework and shower was around 1am. I suffered from lack of sleep and going long hours with out food. I was not informed so i was not prepared.

    None of that will be on your DAC. Also just so you know you can check it for free. Just google free DAC report. Usually the only stuff that goes on your DAC is major things like failed drug tests, Accidents where you were at fault, DUI, break the bosses nose on the way out the door, outa control in a big ball of fire flying down Donner pass and plow into the state capitol and kill everyone. Things like that. So I think you'll be fine, till you get to Schneider anyway. Hahaha just kidding. Schneider is a great place for you to start. At your level you have many options so find out which one you like the best. All the major ones are about the same. Werner is where I started in 1997. Schneider, Werner, CR England, Swift, Crst, Crete, Knight, Heartland Express. You'll be treated the same with any of those so really what it comes down to for you if you are interested in any of those companies is. Which trucks do you like the best or look the coolest to you... If I were you go with the one that has the highest governed trucks and good luck. Oh and don't worry about the shifting issue, any one of those companies will teach you. Hammer down!
