It was/is my pleasure to share my experience here. Hopefully you will have a similiarly good experience.

Well Im in Oakland :( Waiting for them to unload me so I can turn n burn somewhere else. Really dont like bein in big cities.. Especially in California. Made it up n over Donners this morning. Except for the fog and ran it wasnt that bad. Road was wet so I was extra careful with my speed. Kind of hard when your heavy, but I made it..

Well... Got my next load. A weekend load that drops Monday in SoCal. Wanted to get out of Cali, but... Not til atleast Monday. This time I got 4' diameter pipe. They wanted to load me with a 7' overhang, but that wasnt happening. So they just put the extra on another truck heading the same way. This pipe is as tall as my truck and takes up most of the trailer. Only good quality it has is its light. 12 pieces, 10,000 pounds. We shall be goin very slow around turns. I kinda like bein right side up.

So far its goin aight. Still debating on whether or not to throw an extra strap on, even though I dont think its needed.

One thing I learned in the Air Force, I was in the Air Freight section, When in doubt or thinking about putting more restraint on the cargo. DO IT. That extra 5 minutes I took to add the additional strap/chain always paid off in the end. I am a firm believer you can never secure the cargo enough.

Case in point, we had a plane go down one time, totally destroyed it, BUT the cargo was still secured to the floor of the aircraft, even though the floor of the aircraft was totally ripped out of the aircraft.
I would rather have my load secured still secured to the bed of the skate board if anything happened, than have it come loose and hurt someone.
