I am not sure what the laws in Puerto Rico are for driver HOS. However I would say you are responsible for operation of that vehicle and if you feel your a danger to others or yourself it is incumbent on you to not drive.

Same as state side, I'm a just worry about how the company is sweeping it under the rug. And telling us that is allwrite . I really don't Know how the sistem can't regiter the violation and comes out clean when they enter the logs.

I think killing people is wrong, even in Puerto Rico! If you're company is asking you to run illegal then you should report them or quit.

I thought the only place where it's legal to run 24/7/365 was Mexico.....PR has to be under the DOT jurisdiction right?

They receive MSCAP. However all of their regs would have to be Intrastate(territory MSCAP actually classifies them as a state while admitting they are not in fact) in nature. The only regs I found while being spanish dealt with testing and licensing.

However the OP say's they mirror FMCSA(Which begs the question why did he need to ask) so the original advice and post hold.

Now for the rest of his problem. How important is your life? That is what this boils down to.

Without an audit a company has nothing to report. MSCAP funding would indicate inspectors but you live there not I so you would know more about the likelihood of inspection or audit.

Quitting is a gamble in this economy. Would be better to report the company anonymously keep your job and dot forces them to comply
