QUALCOM Removal

    It was mounted over on the passenger side side of dash. just a couple hole there now. :biggrin_255:

    Find the box, then follow the wires. I'm sure you will have to remove some plastic interior, to fully remove it.

    open the dash up and remove anything that says QC on it

    safest thing to do would be look for a fuse in the fuse box, or a fusible link. remove that first. I wouldn't wanna be cutting wires indiscriminately. Never knowing for sure what is tied into what.

    Never had one of these qual com systems. will the box say something like Qual Com on it?

    No, not always. It may have a different name, if Qualcomm sub-contracted.

    Do an online search for Qualcomm installers. They should be able to help you.

    Wish it was that easy. tomorrow I'm bringing the truck in for PM before I put a driver in it. I know it would bother me a lot if this thing kept telling me I have 6 msgs. I don't know why anybody would want one of these things. Just thought it was common sense to call when you need another load. What kind of msg could they be getting from that thing?:biggrin_255:
