That is jumping to conclusions for the little information given. The problem could be in the switch or a position sensor that tells the motor when to reverse.

I have the same type of problem. I cannot shut off the wipers no matter how many times I try. but the wipers only move about 1 to 2 inches. Was thinking it was the motor. But now I'm wondering if it could be the switch. Can a guy check the switch out pretty easy? It's a 2002 Colombia. Anything I can try that might save me a little money? Oh the location of the wiper motor is right behind the coolant res hard to get to without taking a :biggrin_25519:bunch of stuff off.

You may want to try the F/L section.

none taken. All good info. Just bought this truck last week to put a driver in. Got real good deal everything checked out before i got it home. Then the wipers started acting up. I was just glad it was after we had some really bad rain down here in Texas. Switch or motor it's going to get fixed pronto. :biggrin_255:

Be glad you don't have a Pete 387. I had to replace my wiper motor and it cost over $600 just for the assembly. As I understand it, the newer models (mine's an '04) have been redesigned to avoid this.

T2 has ya beat Gears, not by much its about $800 up here, they changed the wiper mounting and now the replacement requires an adapter plate as well. I sure dont envy you guys these days with rates as low as they are.

    Gears Thanks this.

I have a 2012 T700 and the whole assembly fell apart. In Washington. In a pacific storm..... I took it to a KW dealer in SeaTac and they didn't have the parts. They said they would have to order them. From Canada. Mind you I was in SeaTac Washington. Literally right around the corner from Kent, WA. Where the headquarters for Kenworth is.....

Since we're talking wiper problems, anyone have ideas on this:

2004 T2000. Sometimes I switch the wipers on and nothing: no movement, noise or anything. If I turn off and then restart the truck, they work again. Also, if I pull the blade fuse out and put it right back in, the wipers start working again! No blown fuses, but if I remove and re-apply power to the wiper circuit, things work again! Any ideas?
