eh, whatever. I'm too new to know the difference between the two. Once I get used to current mac system I'll be in to WF class.
-
Yea, but then there's times like yesterday where the entire system goes down. Now you can't see anything including your fuel stops. You better hope the address is correct so maybe you can put it in your phone/GPS and find it.
Like Steve said if the address isn't wrong you are screwed because most of the time the included phone numbers are disconnected.
Another problem I found the other day was a long BOL/Pickup number. There's only room there to display about 14 numbers/letters. The BOL/Pickup number was 17 digits long. Customer couldn't find my load because I couldn't see the last 3 digits.
That same load I got to the Consignee and they didn't have any empties. Closest place to park was Indy which was about 30 minutes away. Hold times were up to 30 minutes and it was taking upwards of 15-20 minutes to get workflow updated when I sent the exception. After 15 minutes on hold and 45 minutes left on my 14 I had to just bobtail to Indy. 3 hours later I hear the Qualcomm go off while I was sitting in Indy. Finally got permission to bobtail to the yard. -
No worries, man. I'm a bit on edge myself, and repeating myself is a bad habit that my wife leans on me about too. I need to learn to shut up sometimes. OK, often. Well, in general!
Carry on and stay safe! -

THe class room instructor today told us that SNI qualcoms are run on cellular freq. Doesn't sound right.
-
It is right. They use Cellular Data connections to send/receive data from the Qualcomm servers.
How else did you think the information got from your DBL to the QC on your dashboard? -
i thought it was all via satellite. Haven't used a qualcom in 3 years though. Gonna miss not having to mess with them.
-
It uses Satellite for GPS and locating the truck only. All other information is sent over cell networks.
