Walmart has a good deli with fresh salds, sandwiches, and everything you need to stay healthy. I just picked up a Gold's Gym Power Resistance Tube to stay in shape. I bought the extra heavy resistance version. I refuse to be a fat, nasty trucker lol!

They claim it was an antimicrobial to take otherwise inedible meat fit for human consumption...... ARE YOU ######## ME?!

My parents used to say fast food was making america extremely unhealthy. Now I see why.

YUM :biggrin_2559: You would think the US would be willing to ban this #### like other countries. Its crazy what they ban that we eat every day without knowing. It is sick that if you buy hamberger at the store its brown and smells nasty. If you go buy a cow have it processed it is much much better smells great, if people dont believe me just go try it. It will make you think twice about what your eating. Now I love mtn dew except I found out that they put some kind of junk in their that keeps it all from seperating, it is used for a flame/ fire retardent brominated vegetable oil, now how can that be good for you its been banned in Japan and all of Europe:biggrin_25513:

Yea other strange stories would be:

Crushing red beetles and using them in red food coloring.
Using silica dioxide (sand) as a caking agent in cake mix
Some type of chemical, I forgot which, that comes from snakes to give gum an elasticity.

    Yea, if people only knew.......

Can't cook in truck. Too much time. Truck stops sell the same ol crap. Restaurants are really expensive. Food in the cooler goes bad in 3days (meats). You wanna know what I do? I'll eat whatever. I just limit what I eat. If 2for2 hot dogs...no chips or soda. Just water. If pizza, then one or two slices. Whatever it is I feed. I keep it as basic as possible. Oh and to add to what smaggs said....water cleans your colon and you stay feeling ok. :biggrin_25510: staying fed is my biggest challenge on the road. Not for lack of cash. Just the limited options.:biggrin_25510:

I survive on mostly ham, swiss, rye bread, milk, water and coffee. I have no more than 1 soda a day and never fast food more than twice a week. Oh, granola bars also. I admit it's not the healthyest diet there is but I feel alot better than I did eating out all week long. The v-8 fruit juices are very tasty but expensive. I have the ability to subsist without many of the comforts of home, i have always been that way. I save a lot of money and time not stoping all the time, often only have to stop once a day for fuel, I fill my large cup full of ice and my thermos with coffee. And all of those little 15 to 30 minute stops really add up, meaning I get to my destination sooner, and, consequently to my next load sooner, meaning more money. Not to mention it can add up to more rest by getting there early, often the night before my appointment so instead of the required 10, I often end up 12,13, or more hours of time off before I have to haul butt again. My way of doing things is not for everyone, just another option open to ya.
    Be Safe,
    B

Listen guys, especially you new drivers.
Dispatchers don't care about your health! You could be in the Hospital for emergency heart surgery and they would say, " So you only need 5 days off, right?"
Don't let a dispatcher force you to live like a animal!
Make sure you take the time to eat healthy and get some exercise or you are gonna regret it when you get older. Make sure you shower at least every other day!
Dispatcher only look at the numbers and how they can make you fulfill those numbers. If they give you a hard time about not making deliveries on time of say that you are not running hard enough, just ask them if they got a shower and cooked themselves a decent meal today, that normally shuts them up.
