yea. probably pretty average, for the industry. Lots of people come into this industry and find out it's not their cup of tea. so they leave.

Not sure what you're saying. you mean the trainer threw his stuff out? There's apparently a lot more to this story than you've posted.

Threats? Define threats. I threaten to toss my students off the truck if they violate rules. I won't let a student eat or drink while driving for the first week. After that and after they prove to me they are safe, I'll let them have a coffee or soda or water while driving, but never eat.
If they violate that rule, I threaten to toss them.
If they don't turn their cell phone off, I threaten to throw it out the window.
So yea...I guess I threaten them.
As for using the phone? That's a trainer issue, not a Stevens issue. I let my students play with phones, computers and whatever when they are off duty. Some trainers may not.

Hold on cowboy! The advances are part of your salary. Just because you use them to eat, smoke or whatever, doesn't mean they are not paying you properly. Those same numbers would work for any company. Stevens doesn't decide how much tax you pay. Learn to eat differently and save some money. The complaint you have about the cost of eating on the road is common for every newbie out there that lives on burger king, subway, et al.

I know you have your CDL already, but if I read and understood your post you don't have any experience yet? I hope you don't have to go through Prime's training because you would end up with one of the most expensive CDL fees I've ever seen on these boards between being on the hook to two different companies. Then again if you stay a year at Prime you won't owe them anything.

I hate to hear about trainers abusing their positions and behaving like little dictators just because you are on their truck. Hope your experience at Prime is better man.
