Illinois Wants To Band Your 2-way Radio?

This is the way it started back in the mid 80's when PATT and the railroad and insurance companies tried to get them to ban radar detectors in trucks. After years of trying and failing they bypassed the legislative process by getting the feds to add a rule to the DOT regs and the radar detectors were history. Don't underestimate the low life politicians, lawyers, and organizations behind it. If legislation fails they will try to sneak it in another way.

Very true. Watch what is happening in Washington today. Time to throw them all out, repeatedly, until we get real change up there. (probably getting too "political" here I'm guessing)

 

Since I'm new here and need 7 posts before I can PM a guy about a CB shop near me I'll chime in here....

CBs aren't the issue as cell phones aren't. It's the idiot that can't use one or the other and still keep his focus in the world around him(or her, okay USUALLY her!)

Kids these days can't go pee without texting.

Some drivers I've seen cant understand me when I tell them to back off the scale and wait for the green light... Funny how those guys have a green card and a temp CDL that looks like they printed it at home!

 

The powers that be will use the idiots you speak of to their advantage and attempt to put us all into that category, saying we can't be trusted, or that we are just to dumb for our own good so that they can have the power to police us.

 

It is still legal in Illinois as long as the day ends in a y.

 

I think that we have an issue these days helping those idiots survive... Natural selection and survival of the fittest was once a big factor in forward progress if the human race... Now the idiots seem to put out more idiots and the "powers that be" like as many sheep as they can farm!

Saturday I almost got hit by a jerk that was BSing on his c-phone .......
Now right now I'm almost blind in my left eye ( Thursday I'm going in to have it surgerly fixed ... I hope ) but as luck would have it he was in my RIGHTeyes field of viw .... Texting and stupid people using phones in their LEFT hand are the problem ....
