Sounds a lot like my first trainer. He was dozing off all over the road, made me sleep in the top bunk, and yelled at me for anything other than talking with sexual explicicity about women (I couldn't really understand him either way with all the long cut tobacco stuffed into his mouth; two bags of reman a day).
I sucked it up for 4 weeks until I took my PTO then got a decent trainer. Have you sent in your PTO request yet? You'd be out next week if you had already. Call a different SDM if you need to; there is more than one. Just call driver placement and tell them you need to be transferred to an available SDM.
messed up trainer and no one to talk to about it

If you can't get ahold of your SDM, I'd go up the chain of command until I got someone who can remedy the situation. Take names down every time you call so when someone doesn't or won't help you, you can let someone know who can do something about that.

Barrol i have not asked for PTO as i want this over so i can get my own truck, but i might have to do it that way.
That sounds just like my trainer but my trainer are a smoker so it cant be him, if you want to tell me his name i can be sure and you can send me a private message with it so we dont hang poeple out online
And i have writing the names down on the people that wont help me out and my next step have to be Omaha safety or driver replacement. -
I have a brother in law that started with werner he had big problems with his first trainer and waited till the last minute to requst another but when he did they gave him another. It cost him time waiting to complain. He says do it right off the bat don't wait to ask for another.

I have about 2 weeks left before i test out so i am also in the last min, my biggest concern is that he will give me a bad test score that make safety tell me to do it all over again and that i wont when i am this close but i cant take it anymore. -
I don't think you should be rushing to test out if you haven't gotten a decent trainer yet.
Just put in for your PTO, go home, relax for a week, come back, and let your new trainer fix a few of your bad habits before you give everyone on the CB something new to cry about.
If you're trying to stick through it for that $500 bonus, keep in mind its only about $360 or so after taxes, which isn't far off from what you're making after 6 weeks of training. Also, training pay is typically a bit higher than what you'll be making the first 2 months until you figure out everything your trainers didn't get a chance to teach you. -
I'm with a trainer now. I'm telling you to just talk to the guy and tell him what's buggimg you and don't be scared to speak your mind. They have four spots on your training log for a good reason. If he doesn't like what you're saying and doesn't agree to be more cordial, just call your SDM and tell him that your life is in danger because it is. Nobody can drive a rig under that kind of stress. Don't give me that bull about you're scared your trainer might find out either. Be a man!
midnight_trucker_1971 and tdcanterbury67 Thank this. -
So did they fix the issue?

Dude, the only thing to do is stand up to him but dont let your emotion take over if you know what i mean.

Nothing from him in 4 days . That doesn't look good .
