Hello everyone, my name is Nikki, it looks like you have a nice forum here :)

    A little bit about me:

I've always adored...no...been in love with...trucks lol. Nothing else has peaked my interest as much, if anything i want to try it out and decide for myself whether or not i enjoy it. I know a few people who have driven trucks and i remember wishing i could have a go too :)

Any help on information about getting a CDL would be greatly appreciated. I was thinking about doing over the road when i get the chance, working into something else if that lifestyle doesnt work for me, but i've always loved road trips so...i think i'll be ok :)

I'm very eager to start as soon as possible, and meeting some nice people along the way who can offer some guidence and support would be even more amazing :)

Ok so i'll stop blabbing now, its nice to meet you all :D

Getting your license is easy its picking a company you can tolerate that's hard. Most the major carriers will put you through school provided you work for them for x amount of time. Have a look around where you live or on here for which ones. The most common are FFE, SWIFT, CR ENGLAND, and Schneider I believe all of those and a few others have free schools.

    Thank you :)

Just wanted to give a quick update. I've managed to find a trucking company who will send me to school for a CDL in Utah, im really excited to get started. They're going to pay for everything, so im just hoping i have what it takes on my end to do a good job and not disappoint.

    as in Central Refrigerated?

Hubby worked for them about 10 years back, but I don't know anything recent about them.

    btw, are you British?
I'm a Londoner, good to meet another Brit here!
