its .10 cents per mile if i remember right. if your a company driver you dont get a choice unfortunately, its forced on you.
-
That must have changed, I opted out of it after my first check but this was back in 2009.

it is .10 cents anwe r not obligated to have as company drivers. but i dont see why you wouldnt. its just a portion of your pay they dont tax.
-
Nope, your throwing away your $59/day deduction if you go per deim. Also good luck ever getting a loan when your W2 shows $15,000 gross income (and no a bank will NOT look at the per diem listed on the W2 they dont care, if its not in Box#1 they dont give a sheet FACT)
Per diem exist as another way for a company to screw you out of your money...just like leasing trucks to idiots...

When I was on company mileage pay the first part of last year they would NOT let me opt out.
It is a rip-off for many reasons. It lowers the amount Stevens has to pay for your share of S.S. so you get less benefits. It lowers your income affecting loans, workers comp, unemployment ... all kinds of things.
There are many discussions about per-diem on these forums. Look em up.
