You work your way, ill work mine. If its a company who sticks you to the lease even though you can't afford to stay open, and hits you legally you have evidence on paper you tried to handle it professionally. You can't take Qualcomm messages with you. If you ever get written up they put it on paper right? What's the difference. Your paying their truck payment.

Any entity willing to lease a $100k vehicle with virtually no security deposit or guarantee from the lessee is going to have a comprehensive arbitration clause. That means regardless of what transpires between you and that company, IT IS NOT GOING TO END UP IN A COURT OF LAW FOR RESOLUTION. Forget legally binding anything. Stick to the contract, because everything operates in good faith.

It's not about driving slow. It's weighs heavily more on gear selection and progressive shifting. This engines are now designed opposite of old school days when you whined them out. Now you shift just above where the engine would be lugging & gradually bring your RPM's up toward your next shift.

If you get in this habit "going slow" will have much of nothing to do with it. Also use your cruise control less as you can find and keep your truck in that "spot" where it's momentum & energy keep it rolling with less fuel effort....again you'll see "going slow" is not always the answer.

Proper tire inflation and keeping the air filter free of debris will add to overall economy.

There are other things that can be done, but I'm sure your truck & trailer are already spec'ed out to achieve economy.

Currently I'm hitting 8.5 I drive for another and these savings hit their pocket :(

I here ya i do all my shifts between 11 1300 . I feather the throttle like there egg shells under the pedal. 8.3 all i get qcomm says 7.3 7.7. So ill keep at it . When im going down hill i pick up speed so i brake and keep the rpm below 1300. thats the best i can do .

Actually I've heard it both ways as well. I haven't researched the cruise control to know either way.

I've found myself not using the cruise because my truck goes faster with the pedal. Poor pp have had me the last few trips have had me standing on it.

My fuel consumption stayed level, but I noticed I had better control over the momentum and when fuel was being applied.

    Keep up the good work!

Delivered my load in DeKalb,Il and had a choice of 3 loads.

Sauk Village,Il to Atlanta,Ga delivers Monday. 900 miles
    Bolingbrook,Il to Faison,NC delivers Monday. 800 miles
Rock Island,Il to Wichita,Ks delivers Saturday. 650 miles

Atlanta load I eliminated right away because there was no delivery appt scheduled and if it got scheduled for late in the day that would suck. Other 2 loads I could have 900 miles for Monday or gamble and have 650 miles for Saturday and hope to get another load. I decided to gamble and it paid off. After I deliver in Wichita I am preplanned from McPherson,Ks going to Evansville,In and Bowling Green,Ky for the 2nd drop. Will end up with 1400 miles for the weekendinstead of 900 or less.
