    I'm slowly picking up on all the abbrev like OC and such but haven't figured out what a DBL at a OC is. He appears to have alot of control on your job.

    Thanks

    They dont have mac 18's in Workflow. Get ready to spend hours upon hours of time on phone.

    Im not. The mac 18 has been replaced but it is an easy form to fill out. Workflow is easy and people are just making it MUCH harder than they need to. I had a fiasco with a trailer today, but it was MY fault and not workflow.

    Yes, a lot of the issues people are having with WF right now are user error (both driver and ops). I agree that WF is simple and when we're all on it for a bit no one will be able to articulate what the headaches and moaning was all about.

    The problem is the way in which WF was rolled out. There were issues w/trailer tracking, the "electronic gateway", and adjusting etas and nats. And that's just the issues the drivers were having - ops was in the second level of hell trying to get things working.

    All of these issues were known when the fleet wide roll out started yet we did it anyway.

    3rd quarter sustainment training should have included a section over viewing the WF process and THEN the drivers should have had a classroom session. Every truck should have been transitioned within one month. Neither of these things occurred which created more problems. We're now 3 months into the transition and at least a 1/3 of the fleet is still on the old system.

    Now that many of the bugs and "no really its supposed to work that way" have been worked out I'm not worried about making the transition. I can't say I'm really looking forward to it, but I have attained the serenity to accept that which I cannot change.

    I thought WF was gonna be a big issue. Only had problems trying to figure it out on my first day using it (Thursday). Now I have a better understanding of how it works and I like it.

    I was the same, after 6 months all I saw was the east coast and low miles, talked to my DBL but really didn't get the answer I wanted, so left. The next week they were calling offering me a bonus to come back. Had to pass, I have a nice run to the west coast every week.

    I got a crappy load a couple months ago after a bunch of crappy ones. I called in on the weekend and a support shift employee stated, "well, we had a 1300 mile load going to Laredo, but since you're regional I figured that was too far for you". I switched back to system immediately after that. I'm out 3 1/2-4 weeks at a time. That really pissed me off when I heard that and I wondered why I let myself get talked into regional.

    OC = Operating Center
    DBL = Driver Business Leader (A fancy name for dispatcher as someone mentioned)
    ETA = Estimated Time AVAILABLE (Not estimated time of arrival)
    WF = Work Flow (The new system SNI is implementing)
    There are several others but I haven't had my coffee yet to think of more. Schneider loves the acronyms.
    Be safe and have a great day all.

    In Workflow ETA is now estimated time of arrival, which brings SNI into line with everyone else in the world who uses the acronym ETA
