I own a 95 FLD with a Detroit 60 Series, last month or so I had the head gasket replaced, since then I haven't been able to get over 5 MPG,

I had the Injector's looked at, timing done, overhead, compression test, computer diagnostics done, even had the head taken back off to see if I had a crack on the block, pistons, o rings, all done by Freightliner, and they cannot find out whats going on with the truck. I've spoken to a few fellow drivers, some say its a " Air Intake Sensor" other "Air Filter", but I would really appreciate some more answers and help.

    Please reply,

    Thanks,

When ever I got a customer complaining of poor mileage and there was a lot of stuff already done I would get a history printed out and see what speed and RPM they were driving at. It was amazing people would cruse at 1800 RPM and 70 MPH and expect to get mileage. I had one that had 67% idle time.
The owners usually would want a copy, lots of times, the truck would sit in the yard for a couple of days and a new driver would pick it up.
    Just a thought!
