Hermiston OR. Chain restriction went up on Cabbage Hill about the time I made the OR/WA border. I figured it was coming.

I reloaded with apples at two packing houses within three miles. These guys were on the ball. 2 stops, 21 pallets, depart call in about an hour.

Fortunately there was a scale next door. Over gross by 1800. Shipper had to wait for permission to cut a pallet.

Scale wouldn't work the second time. It was automated and the dollar scanner up and died. Pallet cut was almost 2400 lbs do I got on the road and hit The GearJammer for a CAT.

79600. I was planning on grabbing dinner at Outback next door and decided against it after seeing the Valentine crowded parking lot.

BTW they finished the off ramp re configuration to get to The Jammet... double roundabouts. No traffic lights. It's like wild west free for all now.

I'm sitting in the Port Huron Quality Inn and Suites while my trainer goes into Canada for an Eggo Waffles drop in downtown Toronto. Someone explain it to me why our fleet manager wanted to send a trainer/trainee truck to the Canadian border and then forget to load a comdata card with money for the hotel knowing full well that the trainee can't cross the border. (I have my passport - it's just in WV.)

My trainer won't be back to Port Huron until like 3:30 to 5:00 tomorrow. I have to check out at 11:00 am. We only paid for one night out of my trainer's pocket. Looks like I'll be doing the McDonalds campout tomorrow evening.

Also, my trainer is going home to Oklahoma this weekend. Talk about sitting around in a hotel all week.
