Good point! OP you would be doing other drivers a service if you told which company.
-
if you like them for some reason dunno why try this trick. fill out for another job, one it gets you closer to another job. 2 the new company contacts your present company for employment info. sends a big red flag to current company that you are about to walk. that normaly gets them to stop messing with you. alot of companies simply give you the ammount of crap you are willing to take. when they see you are no longer willing they normaly get right.
if it turns out they really dont care then oh well you are one step closer to going to work for someone else anyway .
with the current company turn in the truck were ever they tell you. record everything they say. talk to them via email or qualcomm and take pics of the messages . dac is just like experiane , they get very pissed off when a company they work with passes false info....... that is if you can prove it so CYAVeteran driver Thanks this. -
Yes HireRight does get pissed when clients pass on false info. That's Why they got sued. Arbitrarily putting unsubstantiated derogatory information on people's record..

This sounds familiar, JB did the same thing to me years ago.
Whatever you do, don't abandon a tractor- worse yet, don't abandon a tractor and a loaded trailer. Take a holiday, sick day or vacation day- and use it for the first day of orientation for a new, better company. Better yet, do it after a few vacation days. Get out soon, it'll never get better- they intended to use you for line haul and they'll leave you there while they hire new drivers to fill the jobs you wanted.
Don't let them hit you with a bad DAC, just go away as gracefully as possible. -
I did not mention the name because my original intent was to ask the question I asked. I could not find another area where I thought it would fit. I figured the bad company section would be the best area considering the possibility of other drivers that had faced similar situations would be the most help, which the responses I received were of valuable help.
I made my phone call to them on Monday told them I was giving notice. I was actually offered a bus ticket home if I was to deliver the truck to them. (they said if I was not happy there was no need to torment me for another 2 weeks) I returned the truck to them on Tuesday and had a very nice conversation with upper management. Lots of my questions were answered and I was offered 2 weeks to think about my decision before leaving them. So the advice I received from those of you telling me NOT to just abandon the truck and NOT to do some other things helped me a LOT! Thanks.. Ill let you know in 2 weeks if I decide to go back, but after what they did I can not say they are a "BAD" company. Moderators... Please feel free to move my posting to a catagory you feel this would better fit. -
Well, Pyro, on the up side, you know that this debacle isn't your fault--otherwise they would have just let you walk without a word.
On the down side, if you go back, they'll be bending you over once again in short order--they've already proven that's how they do things.
I still want to know who they are...

I agree with Penguin, their operating mode is just that, their mode. You stay on you will likely be back in the same boat in short order.
The offers they are extending through the media are lures. They know this is what many drivers want and their playing games.
JMOWargames Thanks this. -
the lies will not stop...best bet is to move on...do not leave your truck at a drop lot take it where they want it(wheather you want to or not, you need to)...a pal of mine worked for a tanker co out of MI he picked the truck up in MI but parked it at a drop lot in dayton with other trucks from the same co. when he quit he left it at the drop lot and mailed keys and credit cards (overnite, certified ) to main yard in MI they put truck abandoned on his dac and that cost him a great job afterwards...
