Well after alot of research and guidance from several of you guys (especially" Notarps") I got the call to head to Little Rock to start with Maverick .
I`ll be getting to Maverick in Little Rock ,Sunday evening and then up to Newport for 21 days of CDL training.
I researched online ,talked to drivers at truck stops and talked to several friends that are truck drivers .After comparing alot of other flatbed companies, incl Anderson,Boyd bros.,Roehl, and TMC I kept coming back to Maverick...they seemed to provide me with the best match .(your milage may vary)
I`ll try to post as often as possible for those who may be interested.

If any of you guys have been through Mavericks training at Newport,I`d appreciate some insight

Thanks,

Well, all I have to say is,,, I'm jealous as HELL!!! This is the number one company I want to work for. I have a 14 month contract with Hogan and right after I'm done with that, I'm going to Maverick!! I love everything about that company. Besides, I was born in Little Rock, so it all seems natural!! lol
Good luck with everything you do with them. By the way, you don't have a cdl yet? I thought they required experience!? -
They use Arkansas State University at Newport, for their cdl training.
Its 21 straight days of 11-12 hrs per day.
I`m a little apprehensive but very excited to be starting,FWIW I was on the waiting list for several weeks, but my location (Ky) seems to be a good location for their drivers.
Best of luck...I`ll keep you posted.
