Ouh, sometimes you need fact. password to do it. I can pull it from ECM memory with chp programmer but with ECM on desk. So try 1111 ore 1234 passwords first if not, call a Detroit Diesel dealer

 

Thanx Pablo. On most password is 0000. On three of them I can't get in with 0000 or 1234 I'll try 1111. So you say just select maximum hp from rating list? What about torque settings do they also go to Max or do we have to change these? Thanx

do not try to do it yourself. Inside it is SMD mounted on film. To desolder Flash and EEPROM is not easy, you need core heating to 280 dgr c and air ore infrared solder tool.

I use BeeProg Plus, not the cheapest, but good enought programmer.

It would be better call DD dealer to get factory password.

 

Thanx pablo these are second trucks would freightliner dealer be able to give me password or would it be a backdoor password? I've got a problem with an fld with a 12.7 pre egr its out on a trip so cant plug in nexiq to find out faults. Its not reving above idling in high range but getting full revs in low range! Its giving quite a few codes like 33,46,23,16,27,21 but these all point to electrical faults. Thanx for helping out

bee prog is the chip programmer. Any chip. the problem is that flash must be desoldered
