I've just been fired from large company for having 3 preventable dings within 12 months. I had 20 months at another company before that with a good record. Am I still employable as a truck driver?

The question is, with three preventables in 12 months, why would you want to be? I'm thinking maybe trucking isn't meant for you?

    Let me get this clear:

    1. Your "historical average time per employer" is about 1.5 years.
    2. During the past year...your "awareness factor" has hit bottom.
    3. Now that you are unemployed...you have decided to be a better driver!

The smaller outfits often don't use DAC/HireRight....you need to find those so you can "fudge" on your application....unless those "dings" are on your DMV print out...

My buddy out of school with me dinged 2 trucks, hit 2 buildings, tore the back door off the truck save 1 hinge so it was swinging, took off a gutter, hit a walkway railing, and lastly took the front end off some poor guys Peterbuilt pulling into a truckstop one night. He got one preventable after all this. Good news for us and everyone walking the earth he no longer drives "professionally". :biggrin_2559:
PS. This was all in his first 3 months lol.

Let me know when and where he's driving, so I can be in my house that day.
