sucky hiring out of washington

You can thank the state from what I've heard,same thing happened to me.
I was told it had something to do with a new overtime law here in WA,once again we've been screwed by those that are supposed to be helping us.
I would be interested to get the full skinny,didn't know it was only student drivers so it has me wondering WTF.

 

BTY I emailed and called Gordon's recruiter and he never even replied.

 

That sux,I got on with May out of Salem,head to orientation on Monday.

 

Gordon does hire new students from Washington State, but only students from 2 specific schools.

 

Hey, MONT74, what specific schools would you be referring to, and where did you hear that?

 

Yea the trls the school uses lists Gordon as one of their sponsors.
I believe it is commercial driver services out of Lakewood WA and bates tech out of Tacoma WA might be the other one since you get collage credit at that one and it is a long school.

 

by federal law I think that all time on duty is to be paid for including orientation,pre and post trip,waiting for load and unload,and Washington is the only state with the guts to inforce it,and not paying sign on bonus at time of employment(not parts is breach of contract and false advertisement I think)

 

I have received both email and phone verification that they do hire new drivers in WA state.
