They do transportation for the entertainment industry, and was wondering if anybody knew anthing about them, good or bad, or other companies that do the same trype of hauling for concerts, stage shows, etc. Thanks in advance for your info.

Actually, no, that is not "enough said". Could you be more specific? Have you had any first hand experience with them? I am looking for information on the company, not just generalities. Thanks

I pulled a entertainers trailer for two years. My first hand experience is this. Direct interaction with their very unhappy drivers. Both on the venue docks and on the road. Their reputation within the industry, sending lots of "new" drivers onto tours.

The worse case is this. Tours are going to go with the low bid, stagecall often wins that battle. Like Swift, tours have started to realize that they always get what they paid for. Problems. If a truck goes down on a time sensitive tour, it can cost millions. Many tours will put the least important cargo onto Stagecall for that very reason. Stagecall got a lot of the new Pete 386's. Well, yes they are a nice looking truck, but have proven their unreliability.

The standard for the industry has always been to add the truck driver to the "room List". Meaning that we got rooms along side the bus drivers to rest for the day. That was very nice. It allowed me the proper rest needed to push through to the next venue. We also got meals from catering...or a $100 a day per diem. Also very nice. Stagecoach in many cases, takes that away from the drivers. Forces them to get their rest on busy streets or even inside arena docks. Most of these places will provide a rest room with showers, but even then, a concert is not the best place to rest before a serious pull through the night.

    There is your firsthand experience.

Thank you very much for the information. I am an experienced driver, and was looking at this type of driving position. Looked at Stage Call because they are very near to where I live. Are there any other companies you would reccomend, and do you have any advice about this type of position? Thanks

even though this is a old post I'll give my two cents on this company from my first hand experience, which is I had just purchased a new kw t660 june 07 and after 6 months of hauling dry van I realized I bit off more than I could chew ($2400 a month payment) and thats when fuel started to sky rocket so I answered a ad that was for there sister company they had just started up called moving performance I failed misserly and almost lost my truck they told me about the wonderful money but the reality of it was they would use me for extra support for the shows when they needed me to move one trailer so they would sit me for several days and when a show would break up they would give me a trailer to move to the next city up the road and then I would sit for several days waiting for another load I didnt even make enough money to pay my expenses I lasted about 1 1/2 months before I had to make a move, this was in 2008 I don't know if they are even in business anymore but I would really be careful if they are and you are considering putting your truck on here. p.s. they are the power only division of stage call. the people in the office were easy to deal with I just couldn't make any money here
