Just wanted to get a thread started about mcleod express out of decatur,il. Ive seen some negative which shocked me. How many companies offer a rookie .40 cpm and weekends off with a gauranteed 800.00 per week minimum. For the most part everyone there makes u feel like family and they do the best that they can. They do have some issues but what business is perfect. I am proud to work here, miles jave been kinda low latley bit im sure it will change and even if they do not im always on time so ill make no less that 800 dollars anyway. Heck cant beat that. I have a friend working at u.s.a. truck and his last three paychecks have been barely over two hundred dollars. See with our gaurantee if we were to sit around for days on in yeah it would still suck bit hey at least we still get paid so the people on here complaining about mcleod must be oit of there mind. I have gauranteed minimum income as long as im not lazy and hang out at the trucksstops all day playing video games or shooting pool at some of the t/a's like u see so many of them do. Just thank the good lord and be happy u have a job with a great company like mcleod. As far as us being auditted, bring it on i run legal and that shown when i got a exelunt report back. Just goes to show also that we are not forced to run illegal. Drivers who say they are forced to run illegal make me laugh, no gun to ur head. Heck i tirn loads down all the time if i think its gonna be even close and its a load that cant be rescheduled. No one has ever reprimanded me for it nor did i get less miles for it. Why would they give u less miles anyway they are essentially paying u for 2000 miles a week and would not be in there best interest to give u less mileage because then theyd be giving u money u didnt work for and that is bad business no matter what company u are. So in closing thanks u mcleod for being there for us driver and even putting up with my big mouth sometimes. Yall be safe oit there and God bless. 4351 out.
positive thread for mcleod express

do you know if they hire out of Georgia?and do they hire CDL school grads?thanks
-
I do know of several of our drivers that live in georgia so id say yeah. As for recent grads. They hire from certain schools only, not sure which ones though. They only require six months experience for experienced drivers. Hope this is helpful. I know i didnt think it possible to find a longhaul company that i couod possibly like working for but they are very driver friendly. If u see me at the truckstop say hi. Im in trk. Number 4351 for now. Hopefully ill get a new one soon though lol.

I had a McLeod truck just cruising in the left lane on the way home in 64 yesterday. He was the slowest vehicle around and just holding that lane. Moron.
Then he had the nerve to make a smart ### comment on the radio when I about sucked his passenger door off passing the jerk.Last edited: Apr 21, 2012
