Oh GEE, look what I found in other parts of this forum that others here knew about but did not include in our previous conversations................
PROVISIONCURRENT RULEFINAL RULE COMPLIANCE DATE FEBRUARY 27, 2012On-duty time Includes any time in CMV except sleeper-berth. Does not include any time resting in a parked CMV. In moving CMV, does not include up to 2 hours in passenger seat immediately before or after 8 consecutive hours in sleeper-berth. Also applies to passenger-carrying drivers.
Looks like I don't have to sleep in a tent at a rest area anymore!
From other info I have come across, this wasn't a big concern anyway.
Just make sure you are 10 hours 0ff duty after 11 hours driving.
Like I said before my OFF DUTY time is my time to do what I want, where I want.
Good times, Drive on! -
I guess you don't know how to start your own thread or use pm's so you've just decided to highjack this one .Roadmedic Thanks this.

Not to mention that you and I have had several discussions on this very issue.

Well, EXCUUUUUSE ME!

So how is the RV hauling going? I'm looking to start out doing that. Would like to find a good company to start with. Any recommendations? I have an 04 Dodge 3500 tagged up to 26k.

Depends if you have any commercial driving experience or CDL.
Some companies will not take that age of truck as well. -
I've drove a cmv for the last few years but not pulling a trailer. I've only pulled my own trailers and nothing over 20' long. Also planning to get my cdl this summer from a local college that offers the training. I would like to run enough this year to pay off this truck which I bought for personal use last month and purchase something new/newer next year.

Up the registration of your 3500 to over 26,000 and if you can hook to a trailer that puts your gcwr over 26,000 you can get a CDL A using that but you will have a restriction for non airbrake vehicles .
Many RV transport companies prefer you have a CDL because they transport some pretty heavy 5th wheels .
Don't plan on making enough pulling RV's to pull off your truck this year unless you have a pretty small balance owed .
The better companies are Horizon and Quality . -
I plan to attend a local community college soon to get my cdl. I have some income coming in so any money I make hauling rv's would be going directly to pay off the truck. Can someone point me in the right direction for JET? I cant find the company.
