Hello Guys - I have a question for all you cheerleaders/experienced hands at JBS. I'm considering JBS after my contract ends here in Afghanistan; which is soon. However, I'm an experienced driver looking to become a trainer there. I've been lurking around recent posts, and what I here the most is that JBS is screwed up with what sounds like growing pains. Complaints are mostly the miles, and the infamous night dispatch, along with some others.

What I would like to know is; is it worth going to work there if you have a trainee with you, ie..get more miles, yada yada? I called when I was home last spoke to a lady that sounded fine as hell, but that is recruiting though..
My thoughts are if you have a trainee with you; you could run "ALMOST" like a full team. But if there not getting the miles, then I need to look elsewhere.

Thank you guy's in advance for your responses.

I train here and to be honest with you its been bad here lately,I have a trainee now and only ran 100 miles last week, and 2500 the week before, sometimes its good, but here lateky its been bad. They are having growing pains and if you can afford to stick with them while they use you as a lab rat for their experiments (i.e. Texas Dedicated)it may be fine,I enjoy training, Its not for the money,I enjoy imparting the knowledge. I don't want to scare you off for the most part its been good. Hope this helps

I know man its all good, its what makes it fun!hell if everybody was a fan of only a couple of drivers it wouldn't be entertaining at all. I like his bad attiude,I wish he would beat and bang more often. Dale sr was hated too,not till he died did he get most popular driver, and was booed just as bad as kyle-most people won't admit it though.

Jbs cant get me home on time to save their lives. I tried putting in for time off on a wed, thurs, and friday and somehow they get me home on a monday everytime(sitting for no less than 30 hrs before i get a load to the house). Well at least the past 9 weeks its been that way. Wife works evenings mon through friday and kids have school, but i guess a weekend to take the fam to a park or something is to much to ask. And they wonder why my pta is for next monday lol. Obviously that wont fly because this is the trucking life. I dont know how you vets deal with this stuff but you got all the respect in the world from me.

On a good note after about 7 phone calls and 3 qq messages i got them to compensate me for my time in texas. I also got 2700 miles last week which is nice for mid feb. Hope everyone out there is stayin safe!!
