Unfortunately there are guys in it for just the money and could care less about what the new driver learns. I have seen a lot out here, from new guys not knowing how to work the Qualcomm to not knowing how to properly scale out a load.
What might help you Scooter, something I wish I would of done, is to make an outline of what you want to teach the new driver. Continually add to it or take a few things off as you go. Then hopefully you won't forget some of the bigger things to teach.

Efon, I already did
I have daily worksheets and summarization forms relative to policy/procedures, truck functions, Qualcomm macros, etc, that I require my students to fill out every day. Works well for me.

What is the compensation for May Trainers?
-
Why do you want to know? If you work for May and are interested in becoming a trainer, call your DM or OCM and discuss it with them. They'd be more then happy to talk to you.
