New equipment for dedicated in Reno, Nv after lousy gear. I never missed a day, was warned or written up. Always did as asked. Perfect safety record w/ no traffic convictions. Worked 6 days/ wk 10-12 hrs. Thought I was OK with good pay. Got fired..no written reason given..but payroll $800 short and I complained. Unemployment substantiates my side so I can get benefits. $2305 was due at termination plus 72hrs by NV law but 6 weeks later..no pay. They lied and sent pay statements but never deposited money or mailed a cheque. Case now pending before Nevada Labor Commissioner. Company misrepresented pay situation to Nevada Government Social Services too. I have worked for several shoddy outfits over the years but this is the VERY WORST. Another trucker at the Reno site is also short pay and that too will go to the Labor Board. They have no formal grievance process and have no concept of progressive discipline. They are also poorly organized so driver support is minimal. In orientation, the hype was elevated but in practise management are CHEATS, LIARS and THIEVES. I will update this post if things turn out reasonable, to be fair but meanwhile. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT APPLYING with Link America of Tulsa, OK
