Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I am not with them at this time but I am thinking about going back.I did ok when I was leased to them. The thing I liked most about them was they did not tourture me as I would take off 4 to 6 weeks at a time several times a year and they never called to see what I was doing. Now when I was off my tractor and trailer was parked I was not out sneaking around hauling potatoes or frieght for any other outfit like a lot of the other guys did or do. Hope this helps

My husband is in Indianna for orientation and after reading these posts I think he made a mistake, We have our own truck and will buy the trailer from Malone. We live in Baltimore, MD and the trainer would not answer his question as to if thier are lanes out this way and after reading the reviews. Can we get any advice before he deides to drive home and go back to his old carrier. Is it possible for him to have the time to do the load boards be on the phone to find loads? any comments will be appreciated

I have read all the reviews for the last few hours and I'm nervous about him signing a lease with Malone. It seems the only way to make money is to be out all the time and he will need to be in Indianna and Alabama nothing around the Baltimore area so he will dead head alot. I feel like the recruiter gave alot of false info. I just would like some honest answers.

There is some freight coming out of Baltimore......it usually doesn't pay the greatest, but it will get you to a better area.

You may not have notice but most of them bad threads were from guys doing the lease purchase. Recruiter less than honest
come on now this aint your first goat rodeo if you own the truck.
As runningman said "There is some freight coming out of Baltimore......it usually doesn't pay the greatest, but it will get you to a better area" Also you may not have learn from reading the posts that your husband is not restricted to CRST load board and can us outside brokers if the approved with CRST if there not it sounds like it's pretty easy to get one approve. Also if he is running legal then I guarantee he will have 10hrs a day to look for loads. But really it's not that hard and it is easy to due and if you have someone who understands the operation and how to book loads looking for you while your driving it increases your chance of getting better loads. -
man the owner operators an the lease purchase is not a good idea at crst malone.. there is money to be made nut the hours of service is monday through friday 8 to 5 after that noone is there dont need help directions to anything after then dont need extra money your not gonna get it this is the worst company to work for if your rolling through a scale just check it out for yourself its all there in writeing most of the drivers here dont have a clue how to log or run a buissness its crsts fault for hiring them now there ranked number one worst company to drive for just look at your coops or ask them theyll give you the facts the reason why drivers are coming here is because theres no qualcom an the log department doesnt have a clue on logging either so everyone can roll until they get caught you equipment you have to buy runs around 2700 dollars an there gonna find plenty of deductions for you to come out of your settlement if 200 to 500 dollars is good for you then go trk with them like i said just take a look at the trucks an drivers watch them an that will tell you all you need to know if you lease purchase have money for fuel because your not gonna get enough from crst look forward to around 800 to 1000 a week deductions an paying for a raggey trk that they picked for you your gonna be limited where you run these are facts not opinions like i said the safety rateing says it all an 97 percent of the drivers here that are lease purchase an some of the o/o never pulled a flatbed in there life i think its funny watching this company go down the drain worring about a dollar instead of there reputation its ashame that theyd take the risk hiring the unexperinced drivers an risk there cdls like that instead of getting them proper trainning try that at TMC it wont happen do your research before making that change to malone the grass isnt allways greener on the other side like i said chk the safety rateing score an that will tell you enough right there not to mention that there so desperately on the virge of folding that there trying to get crst van expidite to merge with them to help there rateing scores lol.. now there tring to destroy that side of the buissness to i guess thats what you call greed an you see where it gets you the top of DOTS LIST becareful an good luck youve been warnned dont cast your pearl before swine driver
-
keep in mind that youll pay 12 cents a mile every mile from the day you get that trk to crst for a nonrefundable maint account an then they dont wanna fix anything on your trk just talk to your drivers these are facts there probably like any other company though if they can get away with out having to fix it an charge you for it then they will
