When I drove for WEL (less than a year ago) you were required to get a TWIC card. We used it to get in and out of the DePere terminal.

You do need a TWIC card and will begin the process in orientation. No hazmat and no Canada.

Yeah, I read that too fast and only saw "passport." We don't need one of those but we DO need a TWIC card.

Actually I'm from Maine and I have an orientation for Wel starting tomorrow. When no other company would even consider hiring me because either, I have no verifyable work history, or they are not hiring out of maine, or they require experience, even H.O. Walding told me and I quote, "we don't take refresher students" Wel companies have accepted me. The recruiter was honest he explained to me a while ago if I fail the orientation then I am responsible for getting my own transportation home. But from what I was told the company does pay pretty good. Anyway if I pass the orientation give me 6 months with the company and I will tell anyone if it's good.

I just got a call from a WEL recruiter. They sound like a pretty good deal. He told me I'd get .38 cpm with 1k sign on in the first paycheck avg bout 800 bucks a week. Fairly new trucks with apu's. I've never been fond of the idea of pulling a reefer, but it sounds like a better deal with more $$ then Star.
