We had a guy in GA that lived so close to the school that he was home every day. I lived so close to the school that I could have been there within thirty to fourty mins but I chose to stay except weekends; you're only billed at the hotel for what you use btw. Saved about $175 by going home on weekends in my case, but I was also rooming with a student (split bill).

Forget firearms in trucks. I'm a former LEO, once you leave your home state, you're a mobile target for another LEO with an attitude. You've gone from insider to trophy buck. Safety department employees will crap in their pants if they learn you were arrested for carrying.

    It can end your career.

    Yes! Get a passport A.S.A.P..

Canadians will let you in, no problem. American customs will make you prove your Citizenship and test you before they let you come back to your home country.

(And they'll make you pay a fee for their time at the border).

10-4 on that, Boomer......no passport, no hazmat, no doubles and triples, no bus......
you need to get a class A learners permit and a medical card..... the pair will set you back about $100...... if you're gonna drive, you're gonna need them regardless of where you decide to go.....

here's a good place to go to practice your test....... (originally posted by Baritone).....http://www.cristcdl.com/otc/

ok boomer so i can save the $110.00 for the passport then. Until i go to a company that needs it.

And thanks Dipschitt for the link i will use it often. I am reading the CDL book for the state of ohio. I downloaded it onto my laptop.

I just need to get a new Soc. Sec. card since mine looks like its been through the war and i also need my birth cert. i think i will collect those things and study the cdl book a bunch before i contact millis.
