You can't go wrong with any of the Wilson antennas.

If you're looking at the Wilson's you might want to decide soon, looks like they're being discontinued.

What is being discontinued ??? A particular model antenna or are you claiming that the company Wilson is going out of business ???

They've been doing that a lot lately. Auto Zone quit carrying anco wipers for no other reason than they didn't make enough profit off them. Southern Tire quit carrying Cooper for the same reason a while back.

Wilson was owned by Bar-jan and IIRC so was Francis and a large majority of other companies making CB accessories. In fact they were slowly buying them all up. Then a bunch of money people out for destroy and take the money suits drove it into the ground, forcing Bar-jan into bankruptcy. History. Nada. Signora. No idea if they are going to be reorganized or not. What I do know is the truck stop near me has been unable to order power cords, mirror bracket mounts, antennas, or in general anything CB needs related for 4 weeks. They told me they are desperately looking for other places to order from as drivers are complaining. This is all I know and I was told this by the people running a chain of White Oak truck stops.

Should add it reminds me of the guy in that movie 'Pretty Woman'. His job was raiding corporations to take them apart and sell off the assets. This is exactly what happened with Bar-Jan. Problem is the pieces such as Wilson and Francis seldom get incorporated again. I have no doubt the machines in the factories making these parts and antennas as well as the raw materials, will be resold to other manufacturers, such as in China.
