A good western 11 flatbed company

Sherman brothers can get you home regular, but I can't say much about the money those guys make. I do know that most of them go home at least every weekend. I'd look into Combined Transport, or even System....I think System has a yard in Phoenix too.

 

System has a yard in phoenix and that is the best 3 to look into..

 

I worked for them a little while and out of the Phoenix yard . My wife wanted to be close to her grandma. I do like their equipment and was treated well there. I left when they cut pay a few yrs back because of the recession. I think things are back to normal there. I have also worked for Sherman Bros and did not like them as well as System. If Denny is still doing the oreintation for System, hes a no BS guy and does know his stuff. They like good drivers that can get the job done, no whining and they will keep you busy making miles and try their best to get you the hometime you want. I was gone 3 weeks and home a couple a days as thats what I asked for.

 

most of your regional companies should have you home on the weekends. if you do your logs right.

they usually have accounts to which they haul freight regularly. and have you home long enough for a 34. which can suck sometimes.

with our company. it's drop and reload. but come friday. it can be wait all day before load to go home. which gets on my nerves.

it's friday. throw the dang load on so i can go home.

 

my cousin lives in Phoenix and just got hired on with FED-EX Freight doing a dedicated run from Phoenix to San Dieago and back. 4 day work week and he's getting $1,100 salary.

 

Tell them what your plan is and Im sure they will work with ya as I was in Washington to start, moved to phoenix (of course im back to WA now) so I started as a regular OTR and then moved to the phoenix yard, no waiting, no BS.

Sherman Bros and combined haul lots of glass too so they are nice dedicated accounts but glass isnt for everyone and neither is a double drop trailer.
