Well, that's if any management stooges may be reading what is posted on sites like this looking for identifying info, such as truck numbers, so they can bust people for "speaking out against the company".
That's not gonna fly here.

Oh...I hail to the Forum Gods...I ask you NOT to ever......ever.....everevereverevereverever Remove this thread. All new drivers and unknowing drivers should read this and we will start a Revolution against JBH.
Here is what JB Hunt told me when I went to work for them on their South East Regional division...and I quote"
"Our regional drivers average 2200+ miles per week, they are home every weekend and they are not required to touch any freight. With your experience, we will begin your pay at .35 cents per mile"
I was told that by a Recruiter...And I asked all the necessary questions and he answered me with the right answers. So I went to work after a 4 day orientation. My first "Full" weeks pay was a gross of $602. My second week was a staggering $599.20 gross. Now, I was home on these 2 weekends for 1 full day. I came in to my home around noon on Saturday and I was required to leave after 34 hours. which is really no big deal...but considering I was "averaging" 1715 per week so far and staying gone for 6 days, I had a problem with this 34 hours at home deal. How dare them require me to leave my home after 34 hours off when they lied to me about the mileage?
I stayed with JB for 1 month...just long enough to line up another J O B.
Now, after averaging 285 miles per day with JB, I am averaging 593 miles per day for 5 days at $.41 per mile. You all do the math on that. I also get home 2 FULL days per week. We only have 130 drivers in our company and our managers know us by name. We run all 48 states and I laugh at JB Hunt now that I know they are full of ####.
By the way, JB Hunt recruiters have a bad name because they are liars. Yea I said it! I think those recruiters would rather climb Mt Everest to tell a lie than they would stand on the ground to tell the truth. -
I doubt this thread is going anywhere soon. It's growing by the day.
Sorry to hear about your flop at JobHunt, but that's the way it is there.
Posting Jobby recruiters are liars is like posting the sky is blue or you'll get wet in the rain. We already know Jobby recruiters are liars. Have known it for years. -
Well, I am not going to say all of them because the young lady whom recruited me for my current job told me the truth from the beginning. So not all "Jobby" recruiters are liars. Let's keep it fair to the recruiters who actually care enough to tell the truth.
-
Most will lie to you by telling you the ol' "lie of omission". They leave out key information you need/want to know, as they know you may very well say "no" if you know the whole truth.
To me, a lie of omission is still a lie. Anyone leaving out details he knows I need is a liar. -
Most people whom I speak to, I give as much information to as possible. I even say at the end of a job description "OK, do you have any other questions for me about this position or about anything else?"
-
Mr Dude if you really are an honest man then I would leave one of the worst reputation companies and get a job where your honesty will really do some good.
I've been trucking for 5 yrs and knew long before I held a CDL that JB, Swift and most of the other large carriers SUCKED. Now if a company is really as good as you say, their reputation at sucking is not going to filter down into the non trucking world that easy. -
You seem like an pretty good guy, heck, you dont even argue that you happen to work for the worst of the worst. You say your honest, but can you truely say you tell them "EVERYTHING" even the bad stuff. an truely honest man wont sugar coat anything. and when you are calling an potental new recruit tell them to check out these forums before he decides to join JBhunt. then they would be able to see other drivers testemonials that have worked for the company, wither it be good or bad.
I think every driver should be on these forums before they find an driving job. I wish I was before I went to swift, where yes my recruiter lied to me about everything he said would happen at the academy, and what would happen to me once I got on the road. the steering wheel isnt made of gold, and the trucks dont get 250mpg. (exageration ofc) -
Well, let's be fair now. The man does have a job to do, and that is to find and hire qualified drivers.
I salute him for not operating like most JB recruiters, and actually attempting to make his company a better place to work. The problem is, however, that's a losing battle for one man. -
Brickman: To tell the truth, I've been trying to get into the Wal-Mart Home Office in Bentonville. the Big 3 around here: Wal-Mart, Tyson, J.B. Hunt. Otherwise there's always P.A.M. in Tontitown or (and this is a Doo-Zie) Hurricane Express in Springdale!!!
