I found this application for the iphone. It provides all the functions of your logbook. It doesn't say anything about whether it is accepted in an official capacity by DOT or any other entity. You can email your log in pdf format.
I'm thinking, even if it isn't accepted, it might be an easy way to enter data on the run so you don't have to try and remember it, and then you could transfer it to a paper log when you got in the truck.
The publisher is Addition Software, LLC if you want to go to the webpage and check it out.
Has anyone used this app? Thoughts?

You must be able to print and sign a copy of your log at any time if requested by DOT. If you can hook a printer to your phone it would be legal.
-
yep thats the whole deal. You have to be able to print out a hard copy for DOT. As long as you can do that , it doesnt matter which logging application you use
-
You can email it to yourself and print it. You might also be able to transfer the file when you sync. I didn't know the hardcopy was the primary concern. Cool.

Have you been using this app? How does it work?

Better start a new thread.
Probably won't get an answer from the original poster, he hasn't been around in a few months.
